St. Sebastiaansgilde Westerlo
at Sword Spectacular 2008
St. Sebastiaansgilde Westerlo, from Belgium, appearing in the gala concert at the Sword Spectacular 2008 in York. They are performing the Trawantel stick and hoop dance, a linked dance from the village of Westerlo similar to linked sword dances. The guild was originally formed for the protection of the castle and still peforms archery as well as traditional local dances. Click on a picture to see an enlargement.
