Mabel Gubbins
The suggestion that a women's team from Down South could perform proper, no-nonsense rapper would have many a Geordie radgie gadgie choking on his like-named pint, but Mabel Gubbins are the team to prove them wrong. What more can I say but that they are based in North Moreton, near Oxford, and perform the Beadnell dance as well as a dance of their own composition.
The team recently celebrated their tenth anniversary in what has become their established and trademark method - with gin and cake. They now hold annual “Mabel Day” tours of Oxford, bringing Rapper to the deprived in the heartland of Cotswold Morris.
